Watchmen The Motion Comic

Warner Bros released this 12 episode series in 2008 (corresponding to the 12 original chapters of the comic book series). For those confused about the 'Motion Comic' aspect, it is basically the same animation techniques used in the early captain america & shazam cartoons where the artwork was lifted from the comics and simply made to move. As a result the cartoon does not stray from the original plot or style of the comic version. The narration & character voices are all done by one actor as if reading the comic (which seems to add to the experience rather than detract from it). However that may sound, this adaptation of the watchmen is very watchable and has been subject to some very positive reviews from fans of the original comic as well as critics. The series is due to be released on DVD on 3/3/09
